Carrier Corp. Hosts White House Council on Environmental Quality at Charlotte Chiller Factory
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Carrier Corp. welcomed Nancy Sutley, Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), to its Charlotte, N.C., chiller factory for a tour and overview of the company's approach to environmental sustainability. Chair Sutley viewed the manufacturing facility and spoke to employees building Carrier's Evergreen® 23XRV chillers, which exceed the energy efficiency industry standard by 40 percent. The Charlotte team has over 10 years without a lost time incident. These honors also took place while nine new products were introduced, affecting every assembly line in the plant.
