Carrie S. Reynolds Named President, Revenue for NYLON Media Inc.
NEW YORK, March 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NYLON Media Inc. today announced that Carrie S. Reynolds has been appointed to the newly created position of President, Revenue, effective immediately. The announcement was made today by Paul Greenberg, CEO.
"Carrie understands every aspect of the evolving media landscape and has a proven track record of creating significant revenue growth," said Greenberg. "NYLON's transformation to a fully integrated media company -- with expanding digital, e-commerce, video, influencers, events, print and social platforms – and our pure millennial female audience gives advertisers tremendous opportunities unmatched in the industry. We are excited to have Carrie lead our efforts across all platforms, and welcome her to our senior management team."
Reynolds is a multimedia sales, media, and technology executive with wide-ranging experience creating revenue generation strategies and building sales, marketing, and operational teams. For over ten years, she was with XO Group, whose brands include The Knot, The Nest and The Bump, most recently serving as vice president, national enterprise sales & custom marketing solutions. In this role, she directed sales, new business development, marketing and strategy teams and was responsible for the creation of cross-platform media and marketing initiatives via XO Group's online, mobile, print and social media. During her tenure with XO Group, Reynolds held several senior level positions and had oversight for a number of different functions, including advertising operations and digital product.
"NYLON has successfully created a brand that has a deep understanding of how to intimately engage with and inspire millennial women," says Reynolds. "Through cool, confident content and savvy storytelling tools for advertisers, NYLON's influence on this passionate and devoted audience is a dream for marketers. I am thrilled to be here and look forward to helping the team continue to drive successes for NYLON and build the next phase of solutions for brands."
NYLON's momentum is fueled by across the board growth, with an overall 650 percent traffic spike in the last six months.
Prior to XO Group, Reynolds served as a senior media sales executive at Hearst Corporation, and before that, held sales positions with Gruner + Jahr, Metropolis and Art & Antiques. Many of the innovative sales and marketing initiatives Reynolds created while at XO Group were cited with a number of industry awards, including MIN's Best of the Web, Midas Awards, and International Academy of Visual Arts Communicator Awards. Reynolds studied marketing and international business at the University of Delaware.
Reynolds joins NYLON's growing leadership team, which just welcomed award-winning filmmaker Shruti Ganguly as vice president, TV and video. In addition, Hyun Jo recently joined NYLON from Vevo and serves as vice president, engineering. Last month, Editor in Chief Michelle Lee was given the additional role of head of brand strategy and now oversees branded and native advertising content creation for NYLON.
