Carol Kenner, Solix, Inc. Vice President & Chief Financial Officer Named One of New Jersey's 'Best 50 Women in Business'

PARSIPPANY, N.J., March 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Solix, Inc., a leading provider of government and commercial process outsourcing solutions that administers more than $6 billion on behalf of its clients, today announced Carol C. Kenner, Solix Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been selected as one of New Jersey's leading women executives by the publication NJBIZ for its Best 50 Women in Business Awards. Kenner, along with her fellow award winners, will be honored at a dinner ceremony on March 28th in Somerset.

Appointed chief financial officer and director of finance in 2004, Kenner has managed Solix' finances during a period of sustained growth that includes two acquisitions, a workforce expansion of hundreds and revenue that has doubled. In late 2009, Solix moved its headquarters to a fully renovated facility -- a process in which Kenner played a lead role. The move has earned the Morris County Economic Development Corporation Business Expansion Award and United Way Commercial Real Estate Impact Award. Active in the community, Kenner has joined employees in the Morris March for Military Families and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk. She also mentored two female staff members promoted within the past two years to general manager at the company.

Kenner has more than 25 years of financial management experience.  She was Director of Finance for Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee and Financial Manager for the Jewish Family Service of Greater Hartford.  Prior to joining Solix, Kenner was Manager of Financial Reporting for NECA. She has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Tufts University, a Masters in Accounting from New York University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

To qualify, a nominee had to meet selection criteria that included living or working in New Jersey and holding significant authority for decision making in a for-profit company.  An independent panel of judges selected the top 50 winners based on their dedication to business growth, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women.

NJBIZ will honor this year's winners during an awards ceremony on Monday, March 28, 2011 at The Palace at Somerset in Somerset, NJ.  The honorees will also be highlighted in a special supplement to NJBIZ on April 4, 2011.
