NEW YORK, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney Carl E. Person, nominee of the Libertarian Party (4/24/10) and probable nominee of the Green Party (5/15/10) announced today that he is seeking the Republican Nomination for NYS Attorney General, to be the only candidate capable of defeating the Democratic nominee -- with specific campaign promises that Person as Attorney General could and would fulfill

Carl Person, an attorney engaged in private enforcement of federal and state laws for more than 40 years, has declared his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Attorney General. No one else has announced a desire for the nomination, except the district attorney of Richmond County (who plans to make his announcement on Sunday, 5/16/10).
Person explains why he is apt to win the election in November, in spite of the Democratic candidate's "coat-tail effect" and advantage of being on the ballot with popular Andrew Cuomo, who is in the middle of changing jobs, from the powerful office of the NYS Attorney General to the reduced-power office of NYS Governor, effective Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
"I am different from every other candidate, including candidates for legislative offices, because I have created a platform of campaign promises I can fulfill myself, without the consent of others (such as the NY Senate, NY Assembly, NY Governor), to help 98% of New Yorkers, including
(i) the creation of a local stock market (under a federal exemption from registration) to help small businesses, entrepreneurs and self-employed persons in NYS obtain local financing, to eliminate the usurious interest rates they are now paying to banks and credit card companies and to enable the money to be used for hiring local residents, to expand the local economy and business opportunities and manufacture renewable energy locally;
(ii) the creation of an area-wide payroll administrator to make it easier for small businesses, self-employed persons and households to hire (and fire) their employees (or household help);
(iii) the use of an internet system developed by me to replace the diminishing job marketplace with a "task marketplace", to enable everyone seeking income in any town, village or city to be able to offer and sell their tasks, other services, and goods to prospective customers who are seeking the same;
(iv) to assist each town, village and county in NY to create a "Town Attorney General", as "the new sheriff in town, with a law book instead of a gun", to enforce the rights of residents, small businesses and others at public expense, to stop the ongoing erosion of the right of individuals, self employeds, and small business owners in the United States; and
(v) legal assistance and advice to NYS's municipalities and municipal taxing organizations to be able to reduce excessive real estate taxes and strengthen the local economy by making more money available for the local private sector, including the growth of local small business and jobs."
Person also states that he is going to tour NYS in a Ford F-150 pickup truck to take his message to voters throughout NYS, who (most surprisingly) have never heard any candidate with a practical solution for NYS's or the nation's economic problems. This solution is a grass-roots change in the way we are going to work as a nation in future years – from multi-national employers (who take money and opportunity out of the towns and villages) to small, local small businesses and employers (who recycle the money to create additional opportunity and jobs for the locality).
By offering a practical solution to the economic problems of lack of jobs, unemployment and underemployment and to the related problem of encouraging growth of small business and self-employment, Person expects to win the election for NYS Attorney General, to the credit of each of the parties that give Person its nomination.
