Capital BlueCross Announces New Chief Information Officer
Scott Frank to lead technology advancements to enhance consumer experience
HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Capital BlueCross today announced Scott Frank as the company's new chief information officer. Frank comes to Capital BlueCross from Aetna/Coventry Health Care in Pittsburgh, where he served as executive director of information technology.
Frank brings to Capital BlueCross more than 20 years of information technology experience in health insurance and health care. In addition to extensive experience leading information technology, he has a strong background in strategic planning.
Frank will manage a team of professionals and ensure the technology needs of Capital BlueCross are met to the highest standard. He will also partner with business areas to implement innovative technology solutions to best serve the customer.

In addition to Frank's experience at Aetna, he spent more than a decade as a senior information technology leader at Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, Pa. where, he led all information systems integration. He also served as the assistant director of information systems at East Liverpool City Hospital in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Frank earned a master of science in organizational leadership and a bachelor of science in computer science, both from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa.
