Lacking the ability to raise journalists from the dead, Commedia dell Media III is on the hunt for comedic talent in DC's media community.
On April 1* at the National Press Club, Washington journalists will once again compete for laughs while raising money for Committee to Protect Journalists, Reporters Without Borders and The Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library. The winner will take home the Commedia crown, the title of "DC's Funniest Journalist," and a one-day supply of beer provided by sponsors at Flying Dog Brewery.
The competition is open to any working member of the media. Those interested in participating should contact [email protected] by February 25 to schedule a short phone audition. The lineup will be announced the first week of March.
*This is not a joke.
