NEW YORK, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Brunschwig & Fils has a one hundred and ten year history as the preeminent purveyor of luxury home furnishing products. Olivier Peardon, President and Chief Executive Officer, of Brunschwig & Fils, stated, "With our recent purchase of Hinson & Company, we are emerging from the down market in a strong position poised for further growth. Our plan includes additional strategic partnerships within the design industry."
Peardon continued, "Our reorganization and strategic acquisitions allow Brunschwig & Fils to offer distinct product lines to the trade at various competitive prices. We have increased our presence in different categories to become a true one stop destination for the luxury interior design trade while retaining a high level of quality and design."
In December 2009, Hinson & Company became part of Brunschwig & Fils. This collection, at a popular price point, is well regarded as a leading design resource for fine hand-screened wallpapers, woven wall coverings, hand-printed, textured and woven fabrics. It also includes Hinson Lighting and Mrs. MacDougall furniture. In 2005, Brunschwig & Fils acquired Kirk Brummel: a luxury company with modern designs of fine quality woven and printed fabrics.
Through a multi-tiered approach, Peardon's mission has been to: reinforce the Brunschwig & Fils brand as a high-end luxury product; build the established and respected businesses Kirk Brummel and Hinson & Company; reinvigorate and expand the country wide showrooms to become, again, the pinnacle of destinations for interior designers and decorators; and interpret the buying trends of customers in new ways that reflect an evolution of the old business model.
In 2010, Peardon is undertaking an aggressive growth plan for Hinson & Company with a complete US roll-out of the Hinson Collection, including Hinson Lighting and Mrs. MacDougall. Hinson has already had an improvement in sales in existing Brunschwig showrooms. Europe and Australia present significant sales potential as Hinson has never had a large market share overseas. 2011 will see expanded Brunschwig & Fils and Brummel collections to strengthen the modern, youthful new presence without diminishing the established, traditional lines.
To present the new face of the rejuvenated Brunschwig & Fils, the showroom at the Manhattan Decoration and Design Building, 979 Third Avenue, is being renovated. Hinson and Kirk Brummel's distinct brand identities will be shown in their own boutique areas. The Brunschwig & Fils collections will encompass more than half of the space in a new presentation. All Brunschwig & Fils showrooms in the United States and overseas will reflect this new design. www.brunschwig.com
