Broadvoice Acquires XBP to Broaden API Integrations and Improve User Experience
LOS ANGELES, April 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Broadvoice®, an award-winning provider of hosted voice, unified communications (UC) and SIP trunking services for businesses, has announced the acquisition of Tustin, Calif.-based XBP Inc., in a move that will enhance the Broadvoice portfolio of technology and complement its commitment to providing an amazing customer experience.
XBP is a focused, development-oriented company with unique telephony and contact center offerings, whose proprietary communications software is focused on creating a superb user experience. The platform allows for the integration of simple CPaaS and complex UCaaS applications. Developers can use XBP's Twilio-compatible APIs and WebRTC SDK to hook into the suite of advanced collaboration features. Its strong team of developers has created a seamless, clean and easy-to-use interface which goes far above and beyond the industry norm for intuitive interactions with technology.
For instance, XBP offers voice and data convergence features designed for a range of verticals that can be used for voice communication over traditional and mobile phones, desktop computers, laptops, and other VoIP-enabled devices. The feature-blending is seamless and simple to understand, and takes the learning curve out of the equation for employees.
Combined with this, the company's cloud-based contact center application offers built-in features to improve productivity and operations supervision, including advanced call queues, auto attendants and announcement capabilities. It delivers unparalleled scalability, allowing the on-demand addition of agents and services based on call volume and seasonal needs.
One of XBP's core strengths is in deep reporting and analytics integration, enabling customers to better understand user behavior. For example, tools like Advertising Analytics allow users to measure and follow through on outreach campaigns, from local to nationwide. Other tools like voice recording on-demand and voice-to-text conversion provide solid, searchable data that enhance successful client relationships.
"XBP is a nimble, boutique tech company, whose platform has been developed with an eye towards quality and, like us, giving users an amazing experience," said Jim Murphy, CEO at Broadvoice. "This acquisition combines our award-winning customer service and XBP's streamlined technology platform into one unbeatable offering for a match-up that solidifies our laser-like focus on delighting our customers."
He added, "From an integration perspective, XBP and Broadvoice share a very similar culture of community, commitment to employees and partners, and a passion for the industry. I could not be happier that this team is coming on board with us."
The acquisition will consolidate two engines of innovation in Southern California, and will allow XBP's technology to gain nationwide exposure as Broadvoice integrates the XBP UI into its products and services.
"We are very excited to be joining the Broadvoice family," said Mohammed Navid, CTO at XBP. "We have put years into developing our unique platform, with an eye to the smallest detail when it comes to creating offerings that are differentiated and intuitive. With the strength and size of Broadvoice behind us, as well as our shared commitment to delivering operational excellence and an amazing user experience, we gain a national audience for our development effort that we feel very passionate about."
For channel partners, the tie-up will enable them to expand their portfolio options with a differentiated UX.
"We are huge fans of Broadvoice and XBP, and have been bundling the technologies of both companies for our customers and agents," said Steve Olsen, founder at PSI Network, a master agency founded in 1993 that has a portfolio of more than 50 service providers for nationwide telecom voice and data services. "We could not be happier that these two are coming together, and we look forward to great success offering a product line that features their combined, integrated strengths."
XBP's entire workforce will be joining Broadvoice.
