British International School of Chicago Re-Opens Newly Remodeled Campus
Lincoln Park School Listed as Top Neighborhood Amenities
CHICAGO, Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park (BISC-LP), one of 42 schools in the Nord Anglia Education family, held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, September 21, with key figures in the community attending, including Secretary of State Jesse White. The Lincoln Park school, listed as one of the top neighborhood amenities, is operating under the motto, "Be Ambitious," hoping to inspire students to go above and beyond in the areas of literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), and entrepreneurship and innovation.
The 74,000 square foot purpose-built campus added several newly renovated features that will encourage their students to achieve more such as their indoor and outdoor physical development learning space, a maker's lab, dance studio, library, robotics lab, art studios, and dual music rooms.
Principal, Mel Curtis, who has led educational efforts all over the world from Switzerland to Dubai, commented on the school's recent renovations and hopes for her students.

While many institutions in the city offer an all-through experience, the Lincoln Park campus is the only Nursery through Grade 5 private school offering rigorous academics through individualized, global, and innovative hands-on learning experiences. In addition, BISC-LP is an inaugural Juilliard site and will be premiering the new Juilliard curriculum with immediate effect on the students' creative development.
