SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- British sensations Rixton release their eagerly awaited brand new single "Wait On Me" today via School Boy/Giant Little Man/Mad Love/Interscope Records. Check it out HERE. The single, available now at all digital partners, was co-written by the band with their executive producer Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Maroon 5). Rixton will perform "Wait On Me" on Late Night With Seth Meyers on August 4^th airing on NBC at 12:35am ET/ PT/11:35pm CT.

The band will hit the road for a summer headlining tour of the U.S. kicking off on July 30^th in Boston. The "Broken Heart Tour" is sponsored by Chex Mix and the brand will partner with Rixton on an upcoming "Sound Chex" video content series to capture some behind the scene moments of the band between tour stops. The tour finds Rixton hitting major cities across the U.S., including New York City and Los Angeles, with special guest, rising artist T. Mills who recently released his All I Wanna Do EP featuring the upbeat party single of the same name. Rixton has also been nominated for a Teen Choice Award for "Choice Music Group" and will perform on the show, which airs live on August 10^th on FOX at 8/7c.

In March, Rixton released their Me And My Broken Heart EP featuring their buzzworthy single of the same title, which is No 1 on the U.K. Singles Chart. It has sold more than 750,000 downloads and cracked the Top 10 at Top 40 radio in the U.S., while climbing to the Top 5 at Hot AC, and impacting Rhythmic, and AC. "Me And My Broken Heart" also ranks as a No. 1 Most Shazam-ed new track in the U.S., while the official video, directed by Cameron Duddy, has racked up over 13 million views on YouTube/VEVO. Rixton have delivered killer performances on The Voice, Ellen, and The TODAY Show. They have been featured as an MTV 2014 "Artist To Watch" and a VEVO LIFT artist, while "Me And My Broken Heart" was chosen as an iTunes Single of the Week.

Hailing from Manchester, Rixton are Jake Roche, (vocals/rhythm guitar), Danny Wilkin (bass/keys), Charley Bagnall (lead guitar), and Lewi Morgan, (drums). Jake and Danny began writing together four years ago in Danny's parents caravan. Three years later they were introduced to Charley through mutual friends and a year later stumbled upon Lewi in a back alley of a Manchester pub (playing pots and pans) and asked him to join the band. Inspired by the soulful pop sounds of Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars, Rixton offer up a wealth of addictive pop/rock/R&B built on their own brand of songwriting, instrumentation, and vocal harmonies.
