Starting today, Thursday, June 29, guests can visit www.oneworldobservatory.com to secure a complimentary ticket using the promotional code "Brawny" to One World Observatory, valid between 9:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on July 4th, courtesy of the Brawny® brand (limit four per person, while supplies last). Positioned on top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, on levels 100, 101, and 102 of the 1,776 foot tall One World Trade Center, One World Observatory provides unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding waters.
In addition, the Brawny® AmerICAN initiative is showcasing the stories of three inspiring people who embody an "I-Can" attitude. A series of short films at www.Brawny.com/AmerICAN features the personal and professional challenges each overcame in pursuit of their dreams:
- Brad Cohen – Sallie Mae Teacher of the Year recipient and current elementary school Assistant Principal in Marietta, Georgia, who was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at 12 years old. He has enjoyed a successful career in education despite being rejected initially on 24 different job applications for his disability. He graduated from Georgia State University, where he received a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Specialist Degree in Leadership and Administration.
- Destyni Tyree – a Washington, D.C. teenager who graduated high school early at age 16 while enduring the struggles of being homeless. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA, and received a full scholarship to Potomac State College, part of West Virginia University.
- Jason Saltzman – entrepreneur and founder of Alley, a successful shared office-space company located in New York City. He tried launching 20 different startups before finding success with Alley and routinely uses failure as a lesson to impart guidance to struggling entrepreneurs.
"We wanted to highlight inspiring stories in commemoration of our nation's independence and illustrate what it means to conquer life's challenges," said Frances Morgan, senior brand manager at Georgia-Pacific. "We're excited to showcase these videos and to partner with One World Observatory to offer complimentary admission to one of America's greatest landmarks during this important occasion."
The campaign also features a digital anthem video highlighting the American spirit and reinforces the campaign mantra, "It's not American't, it's American." The Brawny® AmerICAN initiative is an extension of the Brawny® Stay Giant® campaign, which encourages and honors Americans who triumph over adversity.
Consumers are encouraged to submit their examples of American strength and resilience on Brawny.com via a short story, images or video to be featured on the microsite during the campaign and be entered for a chance to win sweepstakes prizing.
One lucky grand prize winner will enjoy a 5-day/4-night trip for two to Washington, D.C. inclusive of round-trip airfare, hotel stay, and ground transportation. Additionally, 10 first prizes winners will receive a year's supply of Brawny® paper towels.
The Brawny® AmerICAN Sweepstakes begins now through July 31st and no purchase is necessary to enter. For official rules and more information on the campaign, please visit Brawny.com/AmerICAN.
