BOYS TOWN, Neb., Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today Boys Town kicks off a year of celebration. In 2017 the organization will celebrate 100 years of service to children and families. Founded by Father Flanagan as an orphanage, Boys Town has changed over the years into one of the largest non-profit child care and healthcare organizations in the country.
Employees will help celebrate the milestone in Omaha and at affiliate sites around the country. A new logo and a trailer to a documentary will be unveiled.
"This is such an exciting time," said Father Steven Boes, Boys Town National Executive Director. "This is a great opportunity to celebrate the outstanding work that has been done by our organization over the last 100 years."
Boys Town's success comes from the implementation of an Integrated Continuum of Care which provides children with services based on their needs. As their behavior and situation improves they are able to step down to less restrictive levels of care. These unique services ensure that children and families are receiving the right care at the right time.
Boys Town also has a National Research Hospital, the Boys Town National Research Institute and the Boys Town National Hotline.
