New Position to Usher in the Exciting Relaunch of a Beauty Brand with Global Roots
NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Borghese announces the appointment of Christopher Stephen West as Global President. It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that the role is created as the iconic beauty brand sets the stage for a relaunch.
The appointment is refreshing for the brand as Mr. West is an internationally-recognized builder of brands, business, and organizations. At Borghese, he plans to reinvigorate positioning in the marketplace, as well as roll out the brand's innovative and youthful skincare lines through increased international distribution. Mr. West also plans to grow investment and turnover in direct-to-consumer platforms as well as implement a global approach to marketing and sales.
Mr. West joins Borghese after four years as Partner and Managing Director at TRAUB, the global brand business development firm where he grew revenue and brand presence for many clients. While with TRAUB, Mr. West was responsible for the brand reframing and corporate identity of the firm following the passing of founder, Mr. Marvin Traub.
Prior to TRAUB, Mr. West founded CS West International Corporation in 2008. The firm specialized in business development, brand monetization, and operational management for new and rapid-growth brands and companies with a global clientele of beauty, technology, talent, creative companies, and financial institutions. CS West International merged with Marvin Traub LLC in 2012.
Prior to founding CS West International, Mr. West spent two years as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Zac Posen after beginning his career in beauty at Procter & Gamble. Across this time, Mr. West worked on Olay, Covergirl, and Max Factor, and served as the Global Brand Manager for luxury beauty brands Helmut Lang, Yohji Yamamoto, and Lacoste.
Mr. West graduated from the Robert McDonough School of Business at Georgetown. He lives in Connecticut and New York with his wife and two young children.
