BonitaSoft Surpasses 100 Customers of Its Open Source BPM Software
Atmel, Orange and Yellow Pages are Among 100 Major Organizations Using Bonita Open Solution
SAN FRANCISCO, December 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- BonitaSoft, the leading provider of open source BPM solutions, today announced that there are now over 100 paying customers using Bonita Open Solution, the company's open source business process management (BPM) suite. This milestone comes less than a month after BonitaSoft reached the half million download mark of the Bonita project.
More than 70% of these customers were signed in the second half of the year, driven by the release of Bonita Open Solution 5.2, which offered subscription packs for the first time. Its growing customer list includes Atmel, BAE Systems, Carrefour, Comviva, Government of the Canary Islands, Konica Minolta, OpenSymmetry, Orange, Serpro, Societe Generale, Yellow Pages and one of the top global pharmaceutical companies.
"Our incredible progress during the past year proves there's a lot of demand for affordable, user-friendly, open source business process management," said Miguel Valdes Faura, BonitaSoft CEO. "We are thrilled that our software is attracting a loyal following not only in Europe but also the U.S., Latin America and Asia."
"After evaluating a number of BPM tools, we found Bonita Open Solution to be the most powerful, simple and intuitive," said Antonio Azcue Bremer, President and General Director of the Information Technology Cooperation Center Iberoamericana. "That's why we chose to use their technology in Mexico to support critical processes in several agencies that improve the relationship between government and citizens."
"We congratulate BonitaSoft on its growth in the U.S. market," said Steven Lynch, Senior BPM Consultant at OpenSymmetry. "We are excited to partner with them because Bonita Open Solution provides our clients with a cost-effective, intuitive BPM tool that complements the investments they've made in their sales performance management systems."
To keep up with the growing interest in open source BPM, BonitaSoft has recently expanded beyond its base in Europe. In October, they opened their first North American offices (in San Francisco and Boston) as well as an R&D center in Beijing, China. Valdes Faura has relocated to San Francisco to oversee the company's expansion.
