BNY Mellon ARX Investimentos Named Best Active Equity Manager for 2011 by Top Brazilian Business Magazine
BNY Mellon Asset Management Boutique Receives Top Honor from Exame for the Second Consecutive Year
RIO DE JANEIRO, LONDON and NEW YORK, Oct. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BNY Mellon ARX Investimentos, the Brazilian investment specialist for BNY Mellon Asset Management, has been named active equity manager of the year for the second consecutive year by Exame, one of the most widely read Brazilian business magazines.
Exame publishes one of the most extensive surveys of investment funds in Brazil, which is prepared by the Center for Studies in Finance at Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV). It is a guide to personal investment that encompasses a ranking of 1,000 investment funds. The funds can be sorted by type (equities, fixed income and multi-market, for example), by minimum initial investment and by asset manager.
In choosing the winning active equity manager, Exame quantitatively evaluated the performance of active equity funds domiciled in Brazil that meet the magazine's requirements for market capitalization and other criteria.
"We are pleased to have achieved top honors from Exame for four of the last seven years," said Jose Tovar, managing director of BNY Mellon ARX. "We attribute these multiple awards to the depth and expertise of our investment team, which has continued its success following the 2008 acquisition by BNY Mellon."
The investment manager now has won this publication's award in 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2011.
