LOS ANGELES, June 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- BlackLine, Inc. (Nasdaq: BL) CEO Therese Tucker has been selected as a judge for the 2017 Forbes Cloud 100 list.
The Cloud 100 is the "definitive list of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world" published by Forbes in collaboration with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures. BlackLine was honored in 2016 with inclusion in the inaugural Forbes Cloud 100. Less than two months later, the financial automation software provider made its debut on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.
"The Cloud 100 Judges have revolutionized how businesses reach their customers and in return have built some of today's most successful public companies," said Forbes editor of the Cloud 100 list, Alex Konrad. "We are grateful to the public cloud CEOs for once again identifying the top private cloud companies in the world. There's no group more qualified to rank the standouts than those who have been on this journey before."
As part of the rigorous selection process for the Forbes Cloud 100, Forbes' data partner, Bessemer Venture Partners, receives hundreds of submissions. The Forbes Cloud 100 judge panel, made up of a majority of public cloud company CEOs, is responsible for selecting and ranking the top 100 companies from all over the world. The evaluation process involves four factors, estimated valuation (30%), operating metrics (20%), people and culture (15%) and market leadership (35%), which the judge panel weighs to select, score and rank the winners.
"The best-positioned people on the planet to predict the future cloud leaders are those who have already done it: the cloud leaders of today! Our judges were spot on last year with their selections for the Forbes Cloud 100 list as every cloud IPO and major acquisition over the last year was on our inaugural 2016 list," said Byron Deeter, Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners.
"The cloud represents an enormous opportunity for companies to transform every industry, create jobs and accelerate economies around the world," said John Somorjai, EVP, Salesforce Ventures and Corporate Development. "We're excited to once again co-host The Cloud 100 Celebration honoring the top 100 cloud companies and 20 rising stars advancing the cloud computing space."
The 2017 Cloud 100 Celebration will take place in San Francisco on July 11th. To view Forbes' inaugural Cloud 100 list from 2016, please visit: https://www.forbes.com/cloud100/#1a3adeef5f94.
