Black Flag® Brand Signs Paul Teutul, Sr., Reality Television Star To Introduce The Baddest Black Flag Ever
Co-Founder of Orange County Choppers® and reality TV star signs endorsement deal that includes the building of a custom Black Flag-themed chopper
ST. LOUIS, May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- United Industries Corporation, maker of Black Flag® insect control products, America's first name in pest control products since 1883, announced a partnership with Orange County Choppers and Paul Teutul Sr., to help promote the launch of Black Flag's new, powerful line of insecticides for the consumer market. In addition to being a co-founder of Orange County Choppers (OCC), a nationally known manufacturer of custom motorcycles, Mr. Teutul has been one of television's most popular reality television stars.
Black Flag products have killed insects for more years than any other insecticide brand. And, over the course of ten seasons, viewers across America have come to know Mr. Teutul as a tough, forceful and powerful presence in his business. That reputation as a no-nonsense professional made him a clear choice to help the Black Flag brand introduce their new, powerful line of insecticides.
"Paul is a perfect choice for us," commented John Pailthorp, Division Vice President, Marketing. "He's definitely a get-it-done, no fooling around professional. That attitude exactly matches our new line of products, and exemplifies 'the baddest Black Flag ever.'"
Mr. Teutul is playing an important role during the launch of the new Black Flag product line this spring. Among the most exciting promotions Mr. Teutul is participating in is the building of an OCC Black Flag-themed chopper, which is featured in a national consumer marketing campaign.
"Black Flag is one badass brand," said Mr. Teutul. "The same is true of OCC. And, I've used Black Flag products at home and at the shop. They really get the job done. As to what the chopper looks like, fans will just have to wait to see it."
The Black Flag-themed chopper will be introduced this spring, and consumers will have a chance to see this one-of-a-kind bike on the brand's Facebook page at Black Flag Insect Control. As part of this exciting promotion, a second custom OCC chopper will be presented to one lucky consumer, with an array of exciting OCC and Black Flag prizes also being awarded.
"Of course, Paul is going to be an integral part of our branding message in-store, on TV, and on the web," adds Mr. Pailthorp. "We encourage consumers to keep watching for the unveiling of our Black Flag-themed chopper and how they might be able to win their own custom OCC bike and other great prizes."
