Bitrix(R) Intranet Portal Goes SaaS
Industry's Leading Enterprise 2.0 Offering Now Available for Hosting and Service Providers as Software-as-a-Service.
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, February 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Bitrix, Inc. (http://www.bitrixsoft.com), a technology trendsetter in business communications solutions, introduces a new initiative for hosting/service providers that enables them to deliver Bitrix(R) Intranet Portal through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) deployment model. This allows customers to leverage the advantages of on-demand software usage and deployment and unveils to providers a new opportunity for business growth.
IDC indicates that 41% of businesses have already purchased or evaluating SaaS products, while the SaaS share in IT budgets will double in 2009-2013. Gartner foresees that SaaS revenues will grow approximately four times faster than traditional software over the next four years, reaching US$14B in 2013.
Hosting/service providers are the backbone for delivering software through SaaS, and are constantly looking for new ways to improve ARPU. However, the Enterprise 2.0 market paradox creates a chasm between software vendors and hosting/service providers, preventing both from leveraging SaaS channel opportunities. Vendors offer their SaaS solutions from their own premises or through a dedicated provider.
"Our new initiative gives partners a new method of business diversification and ARPU improvement while proving customers a chance to use a new business-oriented service directly from their hosting/service provider," said Dmitry Valyanov, President of Bitrix, Inc.
Available in English, German and Russian, Bitrix(R) Intranet Portal can be deployed either on a dedicated server or on a Virtual Private Server (VPS) that supports VMware, Parallels Virtuozzo or Amazon EC2 environments. The solution offers flexible billing integration to ensure the most convenient way of communicating with the Bitrix activation server. Hosting/service providers can take advantage of competitive pricing, customization/rebranding options, a wide range of vendor support (sales, marketing, technical) and fair revenue sharing - paying only for actual users. The initiative declares no restrictions on partner add-on services and margin, no competition from the vendor, fair lead distribution and no setup fees.
Unlike other competitive Enterprise 2.0 offerings, Bitrix(R) Intranet Portal is a true out-of-the-box solution. It comes with pre-installed demo data simplifying the understanding of product features. Normally it takes a customer only around two hours of acquaintance to launch the full-scale deployment. "Bitrix has a unique combination of ease of use and rich functionality addressing the core needs of small and medium size businesses. The SaaS offering is a perfect market move that will be much appreciated especially by small companies with up to 50 users," said Daniel J. Gilbert, CEO of Aurora Information Technology, Inc., a Bitrix Gold Certified Partner that specializes in medical website design and Internet marketing.
Bitrix will present the initiative to the hosting provider community in a their keynote speech at Parallels Summit 2010 on February 23rd. Meanwhile Bitrix invites interested parties to learn more about the initiative and sign up for the program at http://www.bitrixsoft.com/products/saas/#tab-PartnerBenefits-link.
