BioMed Realty Trust Announces Sale of 22,562,922 Shares of Common Stock
SAN DIEGO, Nov. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BioMed Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: BMR) today announced the sale of 22,562,922 shares of its common stock to UBS Investment Bank as sole underwriter in an underwritten public offering. The last reported sale price of BioMed's common stock on the New York Stock Exchange on November 11, 2011 was $18.76. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions. BioMed expects to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay the outstanding indebtedness under its $750.0 million unsecured line of credit and for other general corporate and working capital purposes. All of the shares were sold by the company.
UBS Investment Bank is acting as the sole underwriter for the offering.
