Dubner, who co-authored the Freakonomics books with economist Steven Levitt, will focus on business and management lessons from the data-rich stories they gathered from engineers and astrophysicists, psychotic killers and emergency-room doctors, amateur historians and transgender neuroscientists. Stephen Dubner will share the best of their findings from the 4 years of research that went into writing Superfreakonomics.
"Tableau customers are curious and engaged people who use facts to shed light on business and world problems. When a speaker of Dubner's stature promises to answer questions like 'how can you change the world using data?' we know he's going to give a speech that our customers are going to love," said Elissa Fink, Tableau's VP Marketing. "Dubner and our other keynote speakers will help our attendees identify emerging trends to help them better plan their business strategies for 2010 and beyond." Dubner will also be available for book signings.
