Be Amazed by the Spectacular Showcase of World-Class Thai Furniture at TIFF 2010 See You in Thailand, March 10th-14th
BANGKOK, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Thailand's grandest and most comprehensive furniture fair of the year, the much-awaited TIFF 2010, is back, and as the main event organizer, Department of Export Promotion (DEP) has planned five exciting projects, specially designed to attract and impress visitors from Thailand and beyond.
Mrs. Srirat Rastapana, DEP Director-General, stated that "The TIFF will be organized under the concept of 'Living a Green Life', and it will feature over 200 leading furniture companies in a total of 880 booths on display. Apart from serving its principal purpose as a venue for Thai furniture entrepreneurs to meet directly with potential business buyers and partners, this grand furniture extravaganza will also benefit or even impress visitors with five interesting projects."
T-Style Project
This exhibition presents ingeniously-designed furniture, home decorative and household textile products created by quality Thai furniture makers participating in this year's TIFF event. The items to be on display were handpicked by world-renowned Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita, and he personally "mixes and matches" them together for this exhibition.
DEmark
The winning designs from the "DEmark" or the Design Excellence Award will be shown at this exhibition to promote the outstanding skills and potential of Thai designers.
Waste to Wealth
Furniture and home decorative items fashioned out of discarded materials will be presented to highlight their practicality and compliance with global 'eco-friendly' trends where efforts are made to reduce the volume of garbage, the use of resources and the effects of global warming. The program is conceived to help entrepreneurs handle customer requirements, manage waste and create sustainable, value-added designs.
American Hard Wood Design Camp
The project encourages young designers from leading universities and two leading furniture companies - to design furniture products that are not only aesthetic to look at, but are also highly functional and can be produced for real-life commercial use.
Green Furniture Factory
The project has been initiated to promote greater environmental awareness among Thai furniture makers in every process. Visitors will view a range of eco-friendly furniture items, all of which are specially designed to help sustain the environment.
It's the opportunity you don't want to miss. See you this March 10th-14th at IMPACT, Bangkok, Thailand. The first three days are open for trade negotiations. For more information click www.thailandfurniturefair.com
