Bauer Believes Kagan Will Be Obama's Political Proxy on the Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer on Thursday following the 63 to 37 Senate vote to confirm Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court said that "I share the concerns of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) that Kagan will be an agenda-driven judge forcing left-wing ideology into the Constitution."

The president of American Values and chairman of the Campaign for Working Families made the following statements: "The vast majority of Americans express strong opposition to an increasingly imperial judiciary. Left-wing judges are forcing radical social change on the American people. I think the record and the history of Ms. Kagan demonstrates she will be another vote for the radical left agenda rather than Constitutional government. Her career has been entirely political. She has advised presidents on how to manipulate the law for partisan ends and advocated on behalf of the radical gay rights agenda and an expansion of abortion on demand when it was in her power to do so. Her promises to be an unbiased jurist are not credible. I believe that Elena Kagan will be Barack Obama's political proxy on the high court."
