Barbados and American Airlines Celebrate Inaugural Nonstop Flight From Dallas/Ft. Worth to Barbados
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados and FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- This afternoon began American Airlines' nonstop service from Dallas-Fort Worth to Barbados, with the departure of the carrier's inaugural flight 514 to the island's Grantley Adams International Airport. Travelers from the Western and Central regions of the U.S. now have a new reason to head to the Caribbean this winter, with flights from Dallas-Fort Worth to Barbados operating every Monday, Thursday and Saturday with returning flights every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

A celebration for the inaugural flight was held today in American Airlines' Terminal D at DFW. Travelers were greeted by island sights and sounds, enjoying live steel pan musical performances, Barbados gift bags and warm welcomes from Barbados Tourism Authority and American Airlines representatives.
Currently available for purchase, the flight is operated by Boeing 757 aircraft with 22 seats in Business Class and 166 seats in the Coach cabin.
