Bahrain International Investment Park Announces Expansion Plans, Projects Significant Job Growth

MANAMA, Bahrain, June 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP), one of the top locations for foreign direct investment in the world, announced that it will create 6,000 jobs over the next two years.

This job growth coincides with a major expansion of new projects in the Park – 15 of which have been approved over the past year. Among others, BIIP has attracted new investment from companies in Germany, Singapore, France, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain this year.

Earlier this year, FDI Intelligence magazine ranked BIIP as the 15^th most popular destination for foreign direct investment globally, and as the seventh most popular in the Middle East. Two years ago, the Park ranked 23^rd and 10^th in both measures respectively.
