AVT Gives a Sneak Peak at the Future of Automated Gourmet Coffee
Newest units feature first-of-its-kind Android-based Operating Systems
CORONA, Calif., Aug. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a technology leader in developing automated retailing systems, customized kiosks and micro-stores, are showing the future of retailing, and self-service gourmet coffee in particular.
AVT – a company that is known for technological innovations – has hit another home run with their Next Generation systems, which utilize an Android-based operating system that allows customers to make selections and payments via their cellular telephones.
The Next Generation systems also incorporate new technology that brews a superior cup of coffee. From freshly ground espresso to a delicious mocha, the new AVT units deliver 15 different blends that are as good or better than the finest coffee shop or barista-brewed beverage.
"We will be giving Rubi a run for their money," stated Shannon Illingworth, Chairman and Founder of AVT. "When you compare the features of the systems, the quality of the beverages delivered, and the return on investment, we are hands-down the winner," he added. "We have the better mousetrap, and we expect that entrepreneurs and business owners will continue to beat a path to our door."
AVT has also introduced a brand new back-end management system. This proprietary program allows operators to track sales, perform diagnostics, and maintain the utmost product freshness.
The automated coffee market is estimated to be worth over $800 million, according to Bloomberg News.
One of the reasons for this market's explosive growth is the "Need for Speed." In a recently published Cisco Customer Research Report, 52% of consumers prefer self-service systems "to avoid waiting in lines."
The global report examined the impact of automation and self-service shopping experiences, and consumers' views. It found that a full 61% of consumers would go shopping in a fully automated store. 42% said they would actually prefer the automated store.
"If you look at the most significant developments in the automated retailing industry over the past 5-years, many of them have been AVT innovations," said James Winsor, company CEO. "Now, we are turning our skill sets, imagination, and ingenuity to the coffee industry," he added. "We plan to revolutionize the coffee industry, just like we have in automated retailing industry."
