Austin Startup Releases Zosh, for Mobile Professionals, at DEMO Spring 2010
Application, immediately available for iPhone, eliminates need for fax machine to sign and return business-critical documents
PALM DESERT, Calif., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- DEMO -- Zosh, an iPhone application that allows mobile business people to complete and execute important documents using only their finger and an iPhone, demonstrated its debut offering today on stage at DEMO Spring2010 in Palm Desert CA, an elite technology conference that has been the launchpad for emerging technologies for more than 20 years. The Zosh application and service, which have been in beta since November 2009, are available immediately in Apple's iTunes App Store.
Zosh is an innovative application, one of the first for mobile professionals, that eliminates the need to find a fax machine in order to sign and return critical documents. Zosh allows the editing, execution and return of documents from anywhere.
On the DEMO stage Zosh's CEO demonstrated how easy and convenient it is to use the application. As the first demonstrator in DEMO's Focus on Mobile Technologies, he kicked things off with a bang by destroying a fax machine with a baseball bat - underscoring his demonstration showing how Zosh eliminates the need for finding and waiting by fax machines.
"Zosh is the first document execution solution that doesn't require people to change the way they work," said Josh Kerr, co-founder and CEO of Zosh. "We spent countless hours refining the user interface based on feedback from over 5,000 beta customers. We're thrilled to present Zosh at DEMO and to make the product available to many more mobile businesspeople."
How it Works
Zosh is unique in the world of document execution products in that it does not require either the sender or receiver of a document to change the way they handle documents. Recipients simply forward a document into the Zosh application, add required text and signatures, and return the document. With the release of the launch version of Zosh, the company has addressed requests from its more than 5,000 beta customers. Features include:
- Supports Standard Business Document Formats - Users send the most common types of business attachments - PDF, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, images, etc - to the Zosh server where they are instantly translated in Zosh's mobile-optimized format.
- Add Text and Dates - The Zosh client application, available for iPhone and iPod Touch, allows users to add text, dates, signatures and images to the document. Elements are quickly and easily moved, resized and rotated to complete the document.
- Execute and Return - Documents are signed with a finger using a patent-pending digital signature pad that automatically resizes and scrolls to accommodate any size signature. When complete the document is returned as a standard PDF attachment.
Pricing and Availability
Zosh is available immediately in Apple's iTunes Application Store for $2.99 per user.
