Auction of 7 & 9 White Water Lane in The Strand at Headlands in Dana Point, California to Take Place on April 17
Date to Allow Sufficient Time for Buyers and the Real Estate Community To Fully Understand The Auction's True Opportunity
DANA POINT, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The auction of 7 & 9 White Water Lane in The Strand at Headlands in Dana Point, only steps from the Pacific Ocean, has been moved to Saturday, April 17, announced George Graham, CEO of Concierge Auctions. The new date will give the market additional time to recognize the rare opportunity offered by this auction.
"This is a fully transparent, live auction. The seller is taking the risk of selling the property for significantly below their cost. The owner is committed to our auction process and is obligated to sell to the highest bidder at or above the $6.9 million reserve price," Graham stated. "Unfortunately, in recent months a number of luxury real estate auctions held in Southern California have used hidden, unpublished reserve prices and other deceptive tactics. The properties haven't sold, and as a result many qualified buyers and brokers view auctions with some skepticism. Those auctions are gimmicks and unfair to buyers and sellers of luxury homes in Southern California who could benefit from the power of a real auction. We are going to take the extra time to make sure potential buyers of 7 & 9 White Water Lane understand that our auction is real."
Concierge Auctions has a successful track record of conducting fully transparent auctions, notes John Stanaland of The Stanaland Group, one of the premier real estate agents in the Laguna Beach/Dana Point area.
"I attended Concierge Auctions' recent sale of Cher's home in Hawaii," Stanaland stated. "In addition to the Cher house, four other properties were purchased by lucky bidders. Buyers interested in a house in The Strand will be disappointed if they do not participate in this auction."
Previously offered to $15 million, 7 & 9 White Water Lane are selling bidder's choice*, with a pre-sale estimate of $8 million to $11 million. Currently, other homes in this oceanfront section of The Strand range from $11.895 million to $24.999 million, and lots range from $4.125 million to $17.250 million. The most recent sale was for a "front row" lot on January 20 for $12 million.
The sale of 7 & 9 White Water Lane is being conducted alongside broker/owner Bob Chapman and listing agent Kindy Slagle of Coast Sotheby's International Realty, and with full cooperation to the brokerage community.
"Concierge Auctions has a program and a process that buyers can rely on," Chapman stated. "They have conducted successful auctions of luxury homes all over the country with satisfied buyers and sellers. Concierge is a preferred auction provider to Sotheby's International Realty, which speaks for itself. In this area, there are a number of auctions underway. However, this is the only one that has a transparent reserve price well below market value. The potential of owning in The Strand at $6.9 million is a tremendous opportunity. I am confident the extra time will give us the chance to make sure buyers and other brokers understand that this auction is the real deal."
The live auction will be held on Saturday, April 17 at 11 am PDT at the properties. Participation will be limited to registered bidders and their agents and will not be open to the general public. The homes are available for preview daily between 12 pm and 4 pm or by appointment. View Terms and Conditions of Sale for full details. *The high bidder will choose one of the available houses. Only one house will be sold.
