DALLAS, Aug. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* announced today that AT&T Mobility has reached a new tentative agreement with the Communications Workers of America in benefits negotiations covering CWA-represented Mobility employees nationwide – more than 40,000 employees.
The agreement focuses on benefits, including health care, and will be submitted to the union's membership for a ratification vote in coming days. Wages, pension and work rules for union-represented Mobility employees are negotiated under separate contracts.
The two sides returned to the bargaining table and reached the new agreement after CWA-represented employees failed to ratify a prior agreement that had been reached in June.
Out of respect for union membership, AT&T will not comment on details of the tentative agreement until it has been presented by CWA leadership to the members for a vote.
More information will be posted here as it is available.
