Liaison's cloud-based EMR-Link solution to interoperate with athenahealth EHR
ATLANTA, April 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Liaison Technologies, an industry-recognized leader in cloud-based integration and data management offerings, today announced the partnership with athenahealth for HL7 lab and imaging test results interoperability. athenahealth, a leading provider of cloud-based services and mobile applications for medical groups and health systems, combines award-winning software, network knowledge, and back-office services to take on providers' most onerous work and keep them ahead of change.
Liaison and athenahealth have jointly developed an HL7 interface and interoperability guide, to enable rapid deployment of new lab, imaging, and other HL7 messages. The data pertaining to test results or discharge summaries from hospitals will be exchanged between Liaison's EMR-Link™ lab hub and athenahealth's athenaNet® platform. This single, national HL7 results interface has been pre-tested and is now available nationwide.
"We're thrilled to be adding Liaison to our growing network of data exchange partners to enable the flow of information seamlessly between healthcare providers. By standardizing the integration into our single instance platform, we can more easily open up access to vendors like Liaison for providers on the network, all while working to improve care coordination," said Doran Robinson, vice president of healthcare transactions at athenahealth.
Liaison's EMR-Link operates within the framework of the Alloy Health Platform™, the industry's first dPaaS (data Platform as a Service) solution. It supports lab and imaging orders and results capabilities nationwide with universal connectivity to any diagnostic service provider and with any EHR, supporting the highest level of interoperability, from HL7 message passing to full workflow integration.
