Astellas Appoints Marty Golden, J.D., as Vice President, Government Affairs

NORTHBROOK, Ill., June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Astellas announces the appointment of Marty Golden, J.D. as vice president, Government Affairs, which is effective on July 1, 2014. In this role, Golden will lead Federal Government Affairs, State Government Affairs, Therapeutic Area Government Strategy, and Corporate Government Strategy for Astellas in the Americas. Golden will report to Percival Barretto-Ko, senior vice president, Corporate Strategy and Government Affairs.

Most recently, Golden served as vice president, Hospital and Transplant Sales for Astellas. Golden joined Astellas in 2006 and has also held roles in New Product Planning and Strategy. Prior to joining Astellas, Golden held a number of positions with increasing responsibility across several disciplines for Novartis, Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Golden holds a Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, Ill.
