After years of traveling to the GTA to deliver educational seminars on the ins and outs of South Florida Real Estate, Ross and her team have changed strategies. "The market has changed. The message over the last few years was to capture the distressed sales by way of short sales and foreclosures and there was a huge learning curve that needed to be overcome by Canadians with the processes. Now, the message is to capture properties that are either below fair market value (still) or to take advantage of pre-construction prices at one of the many new projects coming out of the ground or learn about off-market opportunities." Ross continues, "Florida remains the choice destination for Canadians because of the cheap, direct 2.5 hour flights, the dollar, culture, security and of course, the weather!"
Born out of opportunity, Ross envisioned this office after numerous trips to Toronto. Each trip resulted in meeting at least one individual who later became a client. "No matter where you are in the city, there are always people eager to learn about South Florida, or have thought about purchasing in the tri-county region of Palm Beach, Broward or Miami-Dade, or are planning a trip down south in the not-to-distant future." Explains Ross.
Located at 372 Bay Street, MMD will work to promote South Florida and real estate opportunities in Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach and Boca, Delray and Palm Beach. MMD's new neighbors at 372 Bay Street are Globacor Partners Inc., a boutique investment firm and Numeric Answers, an established corporate services company dedicated to providing Canadian businesses with accurate and timely financial reporting.
"We have a diverse sales force with great resources in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beaches. Many times we act more as concierge to our Canadian counterparts than sales people. Collectively, MMD Realty staff and agents know the best places to visit while in Florida. Whether, we can help get a table at a restaurant with no availability, or assist in facilitating tickets to a sold out sporting event, we often find ourselves helping Canadians accomplish the impossible!"
Set to forever change the real estate market, MMD will fill a void by giving back to the community while acting as a full service real estate conglomerate with services ranging from investment properties, high-end luxury living, rentals and commercial transactions. A strong foundation of MMD Realty is the charitable affiliations and work, implementing a monthly grass-roots charitable outing initiative and a partnership with The Dan Marino Foundation.
THE DAN MARINO FOUNDATION:
The Dan Marino Foundation was established by Dan and Claire Marino in 1992.
