As Pressure to Comply Grows, Pantheon National Title Helps Lenders Prepare for Dodd-Frank Diversity Requirements
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Minority-owned, Pantheon National Title to host event at MBA 100th Annual Convention and Expo, October 27 – 30 in Washington, D.C.
Section 342 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 sets forth a mandate to diversify nine regulated federal agencies and their contractors. Each agency including the Federal Reserve Banks and the Federal Housing Finance Agency must establish an Office of Women and Minority Inclusion to ensure that their respective agency and any financial organization doing business with their agency — and its subcontractors — demonstrate a commitment to diversity.
Pantheon National Title is emerging as a clear and guiding voice to those directly impacted by the regulation. In fact, the company is hosting a casual cocktail hour at the upcoming Mortgage Bankers Association's 100th Annual Convention and Expo to be held October 27– 30 in Washington, D.C. At the event, attendees will have a chance to meet Pantheon's executive management and foster constructive discussions on how to comply with Section 342 while leveraging the benefits of diversity.
In addition, company CEO Craig Chapman has been tapped to join the MBA's new Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Announced in June 2013, the committee will create diversity programs and best practices to ensure the industry attracts and retains the best and the brightest while building a workforce that reflects and represents a multi-cultural society.
"I know for a fact that diversity is not only about fair opportunity but a critical component for building a great company in the 21st century," says Chapman. "We believe we are a better title services company because our diversity keeps us more in tune with today's borrower population." He goes on to state that organizations like Pantheon help the industry by setting a precedent and proving unequivocally that diversity is a strategy for success.
