Page began his U-Haul career in June 2001 as a customer service representative (CSR) at U-Haul Moving and Storage at Central Avenue (818-034). In October 2003, he was promoted to field relief manager (FRM) for U-Haul Company of Metro D.C. (818). Shortly thereafter, Page transferred to general manager (GM) of U-Haul Moving and Storage of Landover (818-057), where he worked for more than four years before transferring to GM of U-Haul Moving and Storage at South Capitol Street SW (818-037). While serving at 818-037, which features 1,738 storage rooms, Page turned the store into one of the top 100 centers, a rank it held for more than three years. Today, Page will oversee all operations of UHC of Metro D.C., including truck, trailer and storage rentals. His U-Haul experience and his proven leadership skills and knowledge certainly will drive Team 818 to success.
"Over the years, Arthur has proven himself to be a great asset to this company," affirmed ADVP D'Abarno. "I'm very proud of what Arthur has accomplished and look forward to working with him."
In assuming his new role, Page is most excited to take on the challenge of building upon the successes of existing centers, and believes that by being able to view the company from a president's perspective, he will be better equipped to work effectively with his new team members to strengthen UHC of Metro D.C. from the ground up. He is looking forward to increasing business, and plans on starting with the U-Haul primary service objective: to provide a better and better product and service to more and more people at a lower and lower cost. Page is eager to strengthen his marketing company by increasing storage occupancy, transactions and income at U-Move locations, and explains that if he can obtain excellent balance in those areas, he can certainly increase his level of sales and service to his customers. Page plans on using all available tools and labor-saving techniques to increase customer service, ultimately leading to increased transactions and profits throughout UHC of Metro D.C.
"Building upon the experiences of Pat Goodwin, Frank D'Abarno and Chuck Hertzler, I know that Co. 818 is in a great position to expand future opportunities and continued growth, both financially and professionally," Page stressed. "I hope to be able to communicate effectively with my team, and do whatever it takes to grow Co. 818 and provide the level of service that U-Haul customers deserve."
