BURLINGAME, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ARES Corporation announced today that its entire aerospace and defense operations division has been certified to the rigorous AS9100 Rev. B aerospace quality standard and the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard.  This certification signifies ARES' commitment to meet or exceed aerospace industry quality standards and strengthens our competitive position by standardizing quality processes across the division.  This certification is a reflection of continuous efforts and commitment to provide products and services of the highest quality and increase our customer's confidence that our process-oriented approach meets their quality requirements.

AS9100 is a cooperative effort of the International Aerospace Quality Group, and spans across standards organizations in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. It has lowered the number of necessary verification audits and promoted the development of consistent verification methods globally. The certification is valid for three years, after which period companies must reapply for recognition. AS9100 represents a rigorous process-oriented approach in a quality management system for ARES, and is a requirement for partnering with many contractors.
