Ardent Appoints Jean-Paul Creusat, M.D. Chief Medical Informatics Officer

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Jean-Paul Creusat, M.D. has been named chief medical informatics officer (CMIO) for Ardent Health Services.  Dr. Creusat will perform a key clinical role for Ardent in its work toward becoming a meaningful user of electronic health systems.

He was previously with ROI Healthcare Solutions, a health care IT consulting service.

"Dr. Creusat is proven in shaping the development of clinical information systems that assist physicians and nurses in delivering quality patient care," said David T. Dr. Creusat will work with Ardent's Tulsa and Albuquerque hospitals, clinics, labs, pharmacies and health plan, representing the needs and requirements of the physician and nursing communities.

He has more than 25 years of experience in health care information technology (IT) and informatics as a project manager and a consultant.  He has led IT and informatics initiatives at more than 65 hospitals nationwide.

Previous to his tenure at ROI, Dr. Creusat was the IT physician advisor for AVISTA International LLC and senior physician advisor for McKesson Corporation.  He has also worked for a number of organizations, including SmartCard Consultancy, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, First Consulting Group, Advanced Technologies Group and others.

He holds a doctorate of medicine from the University of Medicine Vallombrose in Nice, France.
