Anritsu Launches DAS Certification Training Course
-- Three-day Program Teaches Considerations and Procedures for Assembling, Installing and Testing Passive Distributed Antenna Systems --
MORGAN HILL, Calif., Jan. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Anritsu Company launches a distributed antenna system (DAS) certification training program that will teach attendees the theory and practical considerations and procedures for assembling, installing, and testing a passive DAS. The instructor-led, three-day course is designed for installers, DAS system test technicians, project managers, wireless carriers, field engineers and site managers to help them correctly install distributed antenna systems and eliminate costly rework.
An intensive course, participants will learn about DAS components, functions, and performance ranges; proper component cleaning techniques, and have hands-on training with the Anritsu Site Master™ S331L cable and antenna analyzer and PIM Master™ MW82119B analyzer. Attendees will learn how to test and troubleshoot components and DAS assemblies and sub-assemblies; measure cable length; and learn antenna placement testing to avoid PIM sources. Instructors also teach how to build, test and troubleshoot simulated DAS branches, as well as how to use and apply site maps and system diagrams.
Attendees are given a final practical exam to verify their understanding of DAS concepts, procedures, and best practices. After completing the course, participants will have a solid understanding of how to use the handheld analyzers to locate and correct problems, and have a sound strategy for consistent documentation and efficient, effective workflow.
Classes begin in January 2015 and are available through the Anritsu Training website. The new DAS certification course is part of Anritsu's industry leading training programs. More than 20,000 technicians have been certified through the programs over the past 13 years.
