The Women's race will air live on Friday, April 23 at 4:00 p.m. ET. The Men's race will air live on Saturday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
The buzz at this year's race surrounds the fabled Men's "Cutters" team and whether or not they can win the race for a fourth straight year.
The "Little 500," the greatest single-speed bike races in the world, are held annually on the Campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Modeled after the Indianapolis 500, the race teams (made up of student athletes and amateurs) compete in teams of four, racing relay-style along a quarter-mile cinder track. Thirty-three teams are selected from qualifications trials to compete in the main race.
The Women's race is 25 miles or 100 laps on the cinder track. The Men's race is 50 miles or 200 laps. Money raised by the event goes towards a scholarship fund for working IU students.
Don't miss this great weekend of Indiana history and LIVE college sports on HDNet!
