AMETEK Names Robert J. Vogel Vice President & General Manager -- Thermal Management Systems
BERWYN, Pa., July 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE: AME) today announced the appointment of Robert J. Vogel as Vice President and General Manager, Thermal Management Systems, within AMETEK Aerospace & Defense.

He brings over 20 years of General Management experience to AMETEK, including extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Mr. Vogel joins AMETEK from Aeroflex, Inc. where he was the President of Aeroflex Test Solutions and was employed since 2001. Prior to joining Aeroflex, Mr. Vogel was Vice President and General Manager with the Broadband Networks Division at Acterna – TCC / Dynatech. He has also held a number of operational and management roles within Motorola/General Instrument specific to the Broadband Networks Division.
Mr. Vogel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master's in Business Administration degree from St. Joseph's University.
