American Youth Football's Naperville Patriots Will Play Deion Sanders and the Select Truth at the 2010 Super Bowl Festivities
MIAMI, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Before the Indianapolis Colts take on the New Orleans Saints on Super Bowl Sunday, there will be another big game in South Florida. American Youth Football's Jr. Midget National Champions, the Naperville Patriots, will take on Deion Sanders and his Select Truth youth football team in the Under Armour FUTURE Bowl on Saturday, February 6. The game will kick off at 12:00 pm at Nathaniel 'Traz' Powell Field in Miami.
Following the Under Armour Future Bowl will be The Title Sports Snoop Bowl VIII. The Snoop Bowl will feature the Snoop Dogg All Stars from California playing one of Miami's local teams, coached by Dolphins linebacker Joe Porter and Buffalo wide receiver Terrell Owens.
AYF's Naperville Patriots' successful 2009 season earned them the right to play in this year's 2010 FUTURE Bowl. With 16,000 football teams, AYF is the nation's largest youth football organization in the country. The Naperville Patriots, with a roster of talented 12 and 13 year olds, were among the 120 teams who travelled to Orlando, Florida for the AYF National Championships, presented by Under Armour. After six days of tournament play, Naperville beat the Manassas Mutiny 21-14 to become national champions. Now, the AYF champions will take their talents to yet another national stage.
Thanks to Under Armour and the Miami Dolphins, the AYF Champions will take the field in Dolphins colors and will be under the guidance of guest coach, wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. In addition to the game, The FUTURE BOWL teams will also participate in other Super Bowl week festivities including testing their skills at an Under Armour Combine, and a visit to the NFL Game Day Plaza.
"We are excited to highlight youth football during footballs biggest weekend and showcase the talents of our AYF athletes in this year's FUTURE Bowl," said AYF Executive Director, Jessica Abramovich. "Super Bowl week is a once in a lifetime experience and we are glad that our boys can share in this experience with Deion Sanders, his Dallas Select Truth Team and the other teams participating in the weeks events."
