Ambassador John Bolton To Speak At The Iowa Freedom Summit
Bolton's speech will focus on the importance of strong leadership and the foreign policy challenges facing the United States over the next two years.
WASHINGTON, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ambassador John Bolton will speak at the Iowa Freedom Summit on Saturday, Jan. 24. Bolton's remarks will address the significance and consequences of national security policy in an era of weak American leadership.
"Presented with ample evidence of Obama's national-security failures, voters in 2014 spoke unambiguously – it's time for strong leadership in Washington," Bolton said. "As we look forward to 2016, national security must be a driving issue in the electoral process for all federal offices, from Congress to the presidency."
The Freedom Summit will bring together conservative activists in advance of Iowa's first-in-the-nation presidential caucuses. Hosted by Citizens United and Representative Steve King (IA-4), the summit will focus on how to get America back on track by returning to core conservative principles, including in economic and foreign policy.
"I'm excited to participate in the Iowa Freedom Summit," Bolton said. "This is a great occasion to continue the momentum of the 2014 elections and discuss with Iowans their priorities and concerns."
For the 2014 election cycle, Bolton's PAC and SuperPAC collectively raised $7.5 million, endorsed 87 Republican candidates across the country and contributed more than $470,000 to candidates who demonstrated commitment to strong national security policy. Additionally, the Bolton SuperPAC executed an extensive $5 million digital ad campaign that was implemented in 14 states, including robust efforts in New Hampshire, Iowa, Arkansas, and North Carolina.
Schedule of events for Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015: Bolton will speak at about 2:30 p.m., followed by a press availability.
