Ambassador John Bolton Launches The Foundation For American Security & Freedom

WASHINGTON, Feb. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ambassador John Bolton is launching the Foundation for American Security and Freedom (FASF), a nonprofit organization that aims to restore and protect America's vital national security interests and preserve America's way of life. The foundation will provide leadership and engage America's leading political and policy leaders in an effort to further the country's national security policies.

"America needs more robust and effective involvement in international affairs to keep our allies close and further our national security interests," Bolton said. "This new foundation will provide the necessary platform, resources, and leadership to demonstrate to the world that we will recognize American exceptionalism not only in rhetoric, but also in deeds."

Ambassador Bolton is a leading voice in promoting a public debate on U.S. foreign and national security policies. Bolton previously served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control, and International Security, and Assistant Attorney General in charge of the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Division.

The Foundation for American Security and Freedom is taking the initiative to strengthen America's public discourse, and make clear the inextricable links between strong U.S. foreign and domestic policies through research, analysis, and the public dissemination of studies and opinions about foreign and domestic policy.

In addition to the FASF, Ambassador Bolton runs the John Bolton PAC and Bolton SuperPAC, which aim to raise the issue of national security policy in federal elections. In the 2014 election cycle the PACs raised a combined amount of $7.5 million and made contributions of more than $470,000 to Republican candidates for elected office who demonstrated a commitment to strong national security policies and renewing America's leadership abroad.
