CHICAGO, June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Allscripts (NASDAQ: MDRX) announced today that Allscripts Sunrise Acute Care 6.1 and Allscripts Sunrise Ambulatory Care 6.1, are compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and were certified as Complete EHRs on June 19, 2013 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable Eligible Provider and Hospital certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
"The Certification of our Sunrise Acute Care and Ambulatory Electronic Health Records is an important commitment we made to our clients," said Paul M. Black, President and Chief Executive Officer of Allscripts. "We believe our certified products, coupled with our experience delivering positive outcomes for tens of thousands of physician practices and hospitals across the country, make Allscripts an ideal organization to partner with as we deliver the tools for superior population health management."
The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2014 Edition criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.
