Allison and Jeff Rodgers of Allison Rodgers Photography Bring Business and Creative Savvy on the Road to 10 Cities for PPA Tour: 2010
Presented by Professional Photographers of America (PPA)
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- When award-winning art director Allison Rodgers left advertising in 2004 to start her eponymous photography studio, she hoped for modest success. In six short years, Allison Rodgers Photography (ARP) has become one of the most profitable and unique photography studios in the United States, according to trade association Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
PPA selected Allison and her husband/business partner Jeff to headline its 10-city professional development and educational tour. The tour begins March 24 in Atlanta and will visit Chicago (March 29), Minneapolis (March 30), Los Angeles (April 12), Dallas (April 14), Seattle (April 19), Sacramento (April 20), New York (May 10), Boston (May 11) and Detroit (May 12). Each city-stop on PPA Tour: 2010 is one educational evening filled with information on how to successfully shoot, create, market and sell photographs and photographic products - and create a meaningful business and life at the same time.
Under ARP, Allison's work appeared on the cover of Professional Photographer magazine, and Allison and Jeff currently serve as PPA mentors for upcoming studios and speakers for their own webinars. Chosen as part of the elite Bellagrafica team, Allison and Jeff also have their own line of custom packaging products for photographers. Most recently, this designing duo was chosen to shoot the custom photography for two episodes of the nationally acclaimed television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with Ty Pennington" (ABC).
Allison and Jeff recently launched a collaborative blog for all creatives called lbobi: the Little Blog of Big Ideas (pronounced luh-boh-bee). It's a place where photographers, designers, architects, musicians, etc. can share what drives them to be creative by sharing links and information. A first of its kind, lbobi is free to join and free to post. It's also garnered attention from Scott Bourne, host of the popular photofocus.com website.
