Allied World's Adam Doherty and Diane Parker to Speak at 2010 American Bar Association Conference
PEMBROKE, Bermuda, March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, Ltd (NYSE: AWH) announced today that Adam Doherty, Senior Claims Analyst for Allied World National Assurance Company, and Diane Parker, Assistant Vice President, Professional Liability Claims for Allied World Assurance Company (U.S.), Inc. are speaking at the 2010 American Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Litigation Seminar. The event takes place at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, Arizona from March 4-6, 2010.
Mr. Doherty will speak on a panel entitled, "Fallout from the Collapse of the Economy," examining the effect of the economic collapse on various insurance markets on Friday, March 5 at 10:30am. Specifically, he will discuss directors and officers liability markets and accompanying coverage matters. Ms. Parker will lead the roundtable discussion, "Arbitration in the Insurance Context: Trends, Strategies & Appellate Review," on Friday March 5 at 12:30pm.
As a Senior Claims Analyst, Mr. Doherty is responsible for handling private and public directors and officers liability claims and fiduciary liability claims. He is also responsible for working directly with counsel on coverage litigation. Prior to joining Allied World Mr. Doherty was in private practice.
As Assistant Vice President for Professional Liability Claims, Ms. Parker oversees D&O (Directors and Officers) and other professional liability claims. She has extensive experience litigating and managing complex D&O, E&O, healthcare, fiduciary, and media liability claims, as well as insurance coverage disputes, throughout the United States.
