Allegiant Travel Company Names Bauer Senior Vice President of Operations and Promotes Sheldon to CFO

LAS VEGAS, May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Allegiant Travel Company (Nasdaq: ALGT) announced Kris Bauer will join the Company as Senior Vice President of Operations and Scott Sheldon has been elected by the company's board of directors to the post of Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President.

Bauer joins Allegiant after 14 years with Northwest/Delta Air Lines, where he has been Senior Vice President of Technical Operations since October 2004. In that capacity, he was responsible for all maintenance and engineering matters concerning Northwest's fleet. Earlier at Northwest, Bauer held positions of Vice President of Base Maintenance and Managing Director of Finance and Planning. Prior to joining Northwest, Bauer held various financial positions with United Airlines and worked in engineering at The Boeing Company. Bauer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Cornell University.

Sheldon has served as the company's Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer since 2007. In that capacity, he has overseen all accounting, tax and financial reporting functions and has been responsible for the Company's insurance and risk management. Prior to joining Allegiant in 2004, Sheldon worked as a senior audit associate at Perry-Smith LLP. He will remain the Company's Principal Accounting Officer. Previously the role was held by Company President Andrew Levy. Sheldon will continue to report to Levy.
