The United States patent office recently issued Akermin the following patents: US 8895280 Polysilicate-Polysilicone Enzyme Immobilization Materials and US 8859151 Immobilized Enzymes in Biocathodes. The patent office also issued a Notice of Allowance for the company's application on Thiol-ene Coupling Chemistry for Immobilization of Biocatalysts 13/911,275.
These new patents validate the company's focus on creating valuable intellectual property in enzyme delivery technology and system designs through data-supported functional and composition of matter claims.
