Aggregate Industries US Recognized for Exemplary Occupational Safety Performance

DES PLAINES, Ill., March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Aggregate Industries US (AIUS) (www.aggregate-us.com), a member of the Holcim Group, announced today that multiple Midwest Region facilities have been recognized by the Wisconsin Ready Mixed Concrete Association (WRMCA) for achieving high occupational safety standards.

The WRMCA Occupational Safety Certifications of Recognition identify plants with an incident and severity rate below the Bureau of Labor and Statistics benchmark. The AIUS facilities who earned this award are: Naperville Yard (8) (Naperville, IL), Streamwood Yard (3) (Streamwood, IL), Warsaw Plant (Warsaw, IN), Angola Plant (Angola, IN), Goshen Plant (Goshen, IN), Portable Plant (58) (Kenosha, WI) and Portable Plant (24) (Kenosha, WI).  Aggregate Industries US emphasizes the importance of individual employee responsibility as it relates to safety and sets a zero incident goal for each facility.

The WRMCA is a local trade association that represents the producers of ready-mixed concrete in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
