Aegis Living Joins Restore Civility Movement

CEO participates in 'March for Civility,' releases film series celebrating diversity

BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Embracing differences and celebrating diversity has always been a core value at Aegis Living. Now, the national leader in assisted living and memory care is actively promoting respect, civility, wisdom and peace through its "Wisdom Diaries" film series. Aegis Living CEO Dwayne Clark is also joining a team of national peace activists, led by Ken Nwadike, known as the "Free Hugs Guy" to coordinate the March for Civility in Washington D.C.

The March for Civility will give participants a platform to speak out against hate, violence, racism and injustice, and to unite in peace.

Nearly 100 Aegis Living employees will travel from the West Coast and join the more than five thousand registered marchers to take part in the March for Civility and peace rally at the Lincoln Memorial.

"I am very proud of the large team from Aegis Living who will be traveling across the country to stand united in our effort to restore civility in this country," says Clark. "Respect and dignity have always been core values at Aegis Living. We celebrate our diverse backgrounds. It pains me to hear the stories of divisiveness that are pulling so many apart. I don't believe this is the norm for most Americans. I don't believe it has to be this way and feel compelled to do something about it, both through the films and the march."
