Addison Hospitality Group Launches Magnolia Restaurant and Lovage Rooftop & Indoor Lounge
NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Addison Hospitality Group’s (AHG) President and CEO, Ric Addison, in conjunction with restaurateur Jeff Lam, is pleased to announce the opening of their two newest Midtown venues, Magnolia Restaurant and Lovage Rooftop & Indoor Lounge. Both located at 350 West 40th Street, the two venues follow the success of AHG’s portfolio of rooftops and eateries, including Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge, as well as Lam’s New York Times’ two-star rated Chinese Tuxedo.
“I am proud to introduce Addison Hospitality Group’s newest additions, Magnolia Restaurant and Lovage Rooftop & Indoor Lounge,” stated Ric Addison, who was instrumental in building the venerable Dream Hotel brand. “We envisioned the idea to fuse elegance and comfortability with the splendor of Midtown Manhattan as our backdrop. As with our other properties, I’m certain guests will enjoy our first-rate hospitality in a world-class destination, as we strive to provide a luxury experience for locals of New York and visitors alike.”
Addison Hospitality Group welcomes Executive Chef Alan Wise, who has curated the menus for Magnolia Restaurant and Lovage Rooftop & Indoor Lounge. With roots in New York City’s Michelin-Starred restaurants, Chef Wise worked as Sous-Chef for eateries such as Juni, Picholine, and Rouge Tomate, and subsequently as Chef de Cuisine at Public. Chef Wise has infused simple, clean, and product-driven dishes into AHG’s culinary program.
Located just steps from Manhattan’s coveted Hell’s Kitchen and the imminent Hudson Yards, Magnolia Restaurant is situated on the ground floor of 350 West 40th Street and spans more than 6,000 square feet of interior and exterior space. Led by Executive Chef Alan Wise, the restaurant serves high-end American fare and is complete with an expansive bar, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architect, Magnolia Restaurant boasts white brick, natural textiles, rich wood, and polished brass amid sleek camel brown leather and basket weave fabrics. The dining area is elongated with an additional seasonal outdoor garden space. Elegant, but comfortable, Magnolia Restaurant is a worthy addition to Addison Hospitality Group’s repertoire of lounges and restaurants.
With an enclosed interior for New York’s colder months, Lovage Rooftop & Indoor Lounge is poised to become a nightlife destination for New Yorkers, as well as visitors. A sight to behold at 4,000 square feet with 17-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, a glass roof, and fireplace, the lounge is located on the 37th floor where patrons can enjoy specialty cocktails and light fare. A custom laser-cut mercury mirror brick wall and chainmail columns complement the floors of walnut herringbone and polished cement. Chairs in stroke-painted velvet upholstery and Christian Lacroix fabrics adorn the interiors, while the sights outside feature 360-degree views, which display a vast array of iconic New York City landmarks, including the Empire State Building, Freedom Tower, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Hudson River, and more. It is one of very few places in New York City to view all of these famous sites simultaneously.
Addison Hospitality Group’s background spans more than 15 years in Manhattan nightlife with such recognizable and memorable venues such as Monarch Rooftop & Indoor Lounge, Ava Rooftop Lounge at Dream Hotel, Inc Lounge at Time Hotel, and The Bar at Dream Hotel.
