SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Henrichs, Chief Business Development Officer at Actiontec Electronics, will participate in a session at the Digital Home Summit 2012. The session titled "TR-069 and IPv6: Empowering the Digital Home" will take place Sept. 27 from 10:20 – 11:20 am at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. The panel will focus on the Broadband Forum's TR-069 remote management and pending certification program, and the IPv6 Forum's IPv6 Ready CE Router Logo. Since UNH-IOL is the official Broadband Forum BBF.069 Certification test house, as well as an approved IPv6 Ready Logo laboratory offering IPv6 CE Router testing, Mr. Sheehan will provide an overview of the TR-069 standard itself, market adoption, beta testing and what will be tested in the pending certification program, as well as the role of the Home Networking Consortium.
Given Actiontec's expertise in developing remote management support for all of its modems, routers and gateways, Mr. Henrichs will be discussing the practical applications and real-world case studies of TR-069, including how the standard enables broadband carriers to lower operational costs and proactively help customers solve connectivity problems.
"With the increasing number of devices requiring Internet access and the complexity of supporting such devices, the need for BBF.069 device certification is imperative," said Brian Henrichs, Chief Business Development Officer at Actiontec Electronics.
The Digital Home Summit brings the preeminent thought leaders of the broadband industry together to discuss and outline business models that leverage the digital lifestyle experience within the home. With the demands of broadband customers increasing, the Digital Home Summit addresses the best ways independent carriers can meet—and profit from—these demands.
